MultiSearch

Focus your search

  • To the right of the MultiSearch search bar there is a drop-down menu.
  • Click on the arrow next to it to make choices

Search and Refine

  • Enter your search terms into MultiSearch  (can include keywords, a title, DOI, and/or an author's name)
  • Refine your results: choose from the left hand panel (for instance, books, or a date range). Click apply filters.
  • Any filters you apply will appear at the top of the column.  Note also that you can click the 'X' to remove these.
  • If you are doing multiple searches, and would like to keep the filters you have selected, click on the padlock icon to keep the filter/s for subsequent searches.

  • Access your items online ('Full-text available', 'Online access' or 'Download PDF' option)
  •  For accessing items in the physical collection, you will find further details below.

Physical collection: item availability and locations

Available at Macquarie University Library Level 1/ Level 2 indicates the item is available for you to borrow on the open shelves. 

Climate change book with physical access

  • Call numbers starting with the letters A to J are on Level 2 (entrance level)
  • Call numbers starting with the letters K to Z are on Level 1 (below entrance level)

Available at Macquarie University Library Automated Retrieval Collection indicates that you need to request the item from the Automated Retrieval Collection (ARC), our on-site storage system. For more information about placing a request see our Request an Item page.

  • Check availability generally means that the item is on loan.
  • Clicking on the Check availability link will take you to information about when the book is due back.
  • If an item is on loan you can Sign in and place a Request for it. For more information see the Request an Item page.
