When the item you would like to borrow is in the Automated Retrieval Collection (ARC) or is out on loan you can request the item.
If an item is available on the open shelves you cannot request it.
You need to sign in using your One ID.
Once you have signed in if the item is a single volume, such as a book, you will see the request button.
Click the Request button
You can fill in the information or leave it blank then click the Request button.
You will receive a confirmation message.
If the item is a multi volumed work, such as a journal, it will have request link next each volume. Use the navigation bar to find the desired volume and click the Request link next to the required volume.
From there follow the same steps as before.
You will receive an email when your item is ready to be picked up. You can collect your item from the Hold Shelves inside the Reserve area on Level 2 (Entrance level)
Take a note of the call number of the item you requested as they are placed in call number order on the shelf.
If your item is a DVD or non circulating, eg a journal or thesis, then it will be available for collection from the staff at the Resource Collection Point on Level 2.
| ALL loan copies of the Library's Audio Visual Materials are stored in the Automated Retrieval Collection (ARC) and you need to request and pick them up from the Resource Collection Point on Level 2 of the Library. |
