MultiSearch Basic - RETIRED 2017

Step 1

1. Type in your Search term/terms:

  • Use the Books, article & more tab.
  • Type in the book title or the author's last name, first name or any keywords into the Search box
  • Tips! post it noteUse Double Quotation Marks. When a phrase is enclosed by double quotations marks, the exact phrase is searched.
  • Click Search.

Step 2

2. Refine your search with filters:

  • Use the filters on the Left hand column of the results list to refine your search eg. Peer-reviewed Journals, Resource Type, Subject Keyword, Date..
  • Tips! post it noteClick on More Options for the full list of choices for each filter.

 

Step 3

3. Get your items

 

 When you find the right record:

Hold/ARC Request

 


Click Hold/ARC request

1. If the record says Available at Macquarie University Library Level 1 / Level 2 

that means the item is on the open shelf.

Check for its Call Number and Status. 

Tips! post it noteLook at the Call Number:

  • If it starts with letters from A to J, it is at Level 2 (Entrance Level).
  • If it starts with letters from K to Z, it is at Level 1.

2.  If the record says Available at Macquarie University Library Automated 

Retrieval Collection 

You need to place a  request for the item and then pick it up  from the Hold shelf in

Reserve Collection on Level 2 of the Library

View Online

 


If the record says Online Access  or Full-text available that means the item is an electronic copy.

Click View Online to access it. You may be prompted to sign in with your OneID.

You can read the e-Resource Online or Download and read it Offlline.
