Use Journals A-Z to find a journal

1. Click on Journals A-Z from the Library Home page

2. Enter the Journal title into the search box.

3. Click Search.

4. If there are multiple versions of the journal click on the Title link to view all the versions.

5. Click View Online to choose a link that covers the date(s) that you wish to view.

Use Advanced Search to find a journal

1. Select the Books, articles & more tab.
2. Use the Advanced Search link next to the Simple Search box.

3. In Advanced Search, select in the title and is (exact) from the drop down menus to the left
4. Type the journal name in the first search box.
5. Use the Material Type drop down menu to select Journals.
6. Click Search.

7. If there are multiple versions of the journal click on the Title link to view all the versions.
8. Click View Online to choose a link that covers the date(s) that you wish to view.

Use Browse search to find a journal

1. Select the Books, articles & more tab.
2. Use the Browse Search link next to the Simple Search box.

3. Select browse By title from the drop down menu.
4. Type the beginning of the title into the search box to generate an alphabetical list.

Tips! post-it noteWhen using Browse Search drop 'The' from the begining of journal names. For example if searching for The Lancet or The Economist just type in Lancet or Economist

5. Click Browse.
6. Click on the Title links to list the records with that title.

7. Click on Journals under the Resource Type filter on the left hand side of the results list.

8. If there are multiple versions of the journal click on the Title link to view all the versions.
9. Click View Online to choose a link that covers the date(s) that you wish to view.

Tips

Tips! post-it note A journal may be available from more than one database. Make sure you check the dates available under the View Online tab.

Tips! post-it note If a hard copy of a journal is available it will have the Hold/ARC Request tab instead of View Online tab under it's record. Recent issues will be available on the open shelves and other issues can be requested from the ARC. See Request an item from the ARC to learn more.
