Conference, report, thesis

  • Abbreviated titles, months and words are used in IEEE. Please see Abbreviations in IEEE basics box for the list of abbreviations and further examples.
  • Refer to section B  (pp. 6-7) of the IEEE Reference Guide 2023 for common abbreviated words used for Conference Proceedings.
  • Online reports require the full URL of the document.
  • Refer to section O (pp. 19-20) of the IEEE Reference Guide 2023 for University information use in thesis.
  • Thesis type: "M.S. thesis" for Masters Thesis, "Ph.D. dissertation" for Doctoral dissertation.
