  • Abbreviated titles, months and words are used in IEEE. Please see Abbreviations in IEEE basics box for the list of abbreviations and further examples.
  • Dates: Use the Abbreviated Month. Day, Year. format for adding the date, for example Jan. 16, 2024.
  • IEEE follows the Force11 software citation principles

There is no official guidance from IEEE on how to reference generative AI. However, you may like to use a reference similar to that for software.
