How to create an independent bibliography

To create a bibliography for your document bypassing Cite While You Write (CWYW) tools in Word:

  1. Open your EndNote library.
  2. Select one or more references (Ctrl + mouse to select individual references; Shift + mouse to select a range of references).
  3. Select File > Export.
  4. In the dialog box that opens >Select where you wish to save the file.> Give the file a name (the default is the name of your library) >Save as type: Rich Text Format (*.rtf) > Select the desired Referencing Style i.e. APA 7th. Select Save
  5. Open the saved file. Your references will be pasted in alphabetical order by author in your selected style.
