The National Library of Australia interlibrary loan system is being replaced and upgraded and will be offline commencing early April with services resuming in early July 2025. During this period, the Library Interlibrary Loans Team will be operating a limited service for physical and digital requests as some of our Australian partners cease to accept requests during the upgrade of the Trove Partners Resource Sharing service.
The Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Service supports the research and teaching needs of Macquarie University’s eligible staff and students.
We do this by liaising with other libraries outside of Macquarie University to borrow and provide known published items, and theses, both physical and electronic that are not held by Waranara Library.
We are bound by domestic and international copyright legislation, licencing agreements and the conditions set by the library that owns the item. This means not all items found by a requestor can be supplied by us.
To get the best from this service please:
Macquarie University and Macquarie University Hospital staff and postgraduate students (including honours students in honours year) are eligible to request interlibrary loans.
Items supplied that are not held by the Library must be for teaching and/or research purposes.
We also provide resources to eligible Distance Education students and remote staff:
