Macquarie University and Hospital staff and postgraduate students (including honours students in their honours year) are eligible to request Interlibrary Loans. Items not held by the Library can be requested directly through MultiSearch:
Search to see if the Library already holds the required item.
If it is not held by Macquarie, use the ‘Expand beyond library collections’ link, and search again to see if the item appears.
When you have found what you are looking for, check to see if any ‘Get it for me’ options have appeared.
Use the ‘Get it ’ options to request your interlibrary loan. This is the preferred option.
If there is no ‘Get it for me’ option, navigate to the toolbar at the top of your screen and click on 'Inter Library Loan' (note: this method requires manual processing, meaning your request may be processed more slowly. If possible, use the ‘Get it for me’ option in Step 6)
You will receive an email when the requested item is available. Physical items can be collected from the collection point on level 2 of the Library. Chapters and articles will be sent as an email attachment or download link.
