About EBSCOhost Passport
EBSCOhost Passport is a browser extension that enables easy access to full-text articles by scanning the web page for DOIs.
It then checks if the user has access to the article either in an EBSCOhost database or through Open Access.
The extension is available for Chrome and Edge.
How it works
Installing EBSCOhost Passport
Using EBSCOhost Passport
Click on the relevant store icon below to install the extension to your browser:
Click on
Add to Chrome / Edge
and follow the instructions.
You will then see the extension in your browser's menu bar.

Once you have installed the extension and chosen your institution, simply browse the web and look for the
"E" icons in the context
Click on the icon and you will be brought to the best full text access URL available from MQ Library. You may be asked to login with your OneID.
means that the full text is available from MQ EBSCO Database (will direct you to access it on EBSCOhost)
means that the full text is available from MQ subscribed content (will direct you to access it on the Publisher’s website)
means that the full text is available from Open Access (will direct you to the preferred Open Access version via Unpaywall)
