About Mendeley Web Importer

  • The Mendeley Web Importer is a browser extension that automatically retrieves bibliographic data and full-text PDFs for you to add to your Mendeley Library. 
  • Use the Mendeley Web Importer to collate and organise citations and texts from academic databases, Google Scholar, and different web pages.

How it works

To install the Mendeley Web Importer:

  • Visit mendeley.com
  • Click and drag the red Web Importer button to the browser toolbar

Alternatively, click on the relevant store icon below to install the extension to your browser:

1. Following the installation, click on the Mendeley Web Importer within the page that you are searching (you will be prompted to sign in to your Mendeley online account if you have not already done so).

2. Select the items that you wish to save to your Mendeley Library and click Add.
